Through powerful modalities such as transformative breathwork, yoga nidra, and temazcal you’ll explore the layers of your inner world, release limiting beliefs, and cultivate profound self-awareness.
Daily practices like meditation, movement, and sound healing will ground your journey. Set within a serene environment, The Deep Retreat uses techniques to support lasting change.
A Desert Oasis
Tribu retreat center and boutique hotel, situated in a desert oasis, with stunning views of the pacific ocean, offers eco-chic, adobe style teepees.
Each teepee is air conditioned with en suite bathrooms. For those who enjoy more traditional lodging, a limited number of ocean front villas are available for booking.
We will have Tribu all to ourselves, with access to their many yoga spaces, pool, spa, group dining areas and beautiful grounds.

Early booking is recommended. Payment is refundable less a $200 processing fee as long as we can find someone else to fill the room.

These deluxe air-conditioned teepees provide a unique accommodation. The hard-sided, adobe and wood construction exterior is complemented by a sleek and modern interior complete with all the comfort and amenities for a relaxing and rejuvenating stay. Situated directly outside the villa, there is easy access to the villa’s kitchen, dining hall and yoga spaces.

Experience led by Anwen & guest teachers
Anwen is a facilitator and wellness entrepreneur, with a background in yoga, sound healing, breathwork, and transformational retreats.
She is co-founder & CEO of The Portal. She is former co-owner & operator of The Center SF, and is founder of The Well Organic Kitchen.
She trained in sound healing with Ana Netanel of Shakti Sound Bath, Simona Asinovski and Guy Douglas of Sound Meditation Presents, and completed her Gong Training with Gong Master Lou Maurer of Astro Gong Yoga. She is trained in 100-hour Psychedelic Breathwork with Lily Hardy of The Shift Network.
She has practiced yoga regularly for over 16 years. She completed a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training with Padma Nair in Kerala, India in 2017. She is currently pursuing a 500-hour Yoga Teacher Training with Janet Stone.
Anwen is certified in Past Life Regression Hypnosis Healing and trained in Level 1 Reiki in the Usui tradition. From 2017 to 2022, she co-facilitated group retreats with YES World, including the Asian Diaspora Jam and the Environmental Changemakers Jam.
Her experience combines practical skills and a grounded approach to facilitating personal and group transformative experiences.
